Enjoying the latest version of Safari

June 16th, 2009 by Sadia

Ok, I’ll admit it.. I had forsaken Safari for a while now, back when I was still running OS X Panther.   Since getting the new machine, and Leopard, and the new shiny versions of iLife, iWork and staying with upgrades,  I’m slowly being lured back.   Yes, I do like my special Firefox extensions,  but for general usability..  some of the new features I’ve found on Safari are winning me over.   As pictures do better than words, I’ll show you a few things I really like:

Nifty pop down of history AND bookmarks when typing a url

On bringing up a new tab, I see the follow ‘gallery’ of  Top Sites:

most visited sites in a gallery view

And you can change them! Check this out:

An EDITABLE gallery of visited sites, even!

This feature is still a little buggy in how you get to it, (mouseover a window and then hit TAB once or twice), but it’s cool none the less:
